I've done a 48 hour fast one time. It was so hard. I did it to clean my body and healing. Next time I want to try 72 hour fast. Idk how to last that long. I guess I need a fasting routine.

Kait, you have inspired and motivated me so much! I've gone low-carb and intermittent fast between 8pm and 10am, and use organic electrolytes in my water. I exercise daily with either yoga, weights or aerobic, as well as jog once a week. In two months, I have lost 25 pounds and gained so much confidence and energy. Finally, getting healthy is something that is easy and a no-nonsense approach! Thank you!
I don’t have most of these but freq urination and I’ve been having low blood sugars after eating or when I go a long time between meals.
I bought 2 frozen packs of beef heart at $5.50 each at $2.99 a pound for those days I run out of ground beef sirloin steaks and bacon, I cook them low and slow on the propane grill. less iron taste than liver, I don't dwell on all the statistics but I feel great more often than on a standard American Diet.
Does taking DAO eliminate histamine intolerance or is it lifetime? I was listening to Tammy Peterson, wife of Jordan whose husband and daughter eat only beef but she discovered she had histamine intolerance which when she described her symptoms I realized my decades of runny nose, rash in skin folds, etc might be.
Not TMI, that's how heavy my period was too before low carb.

Thank you for breaking that down so well, Kait. I follow the Keto dite with low carbs and no sugar. I fast for 16 hours to feel healthier overall, but I try for 20 hours when I can to lose a bit more weight. That also helps with pain and inflammation from arthritis. I hardly use my analgesic creams anymore and can walk further without my poles. ♥

I was fasting 16 hrs each day and then my weight loss stalled. Any suggestions on moving the scale and also what about workouts? Should someone with a weight loss goal and just hitting menopause eat before resistance training? GOAL is to maintain muscle and lose body fat THANK YOU! ❤
One thing I don’t understand, is if I reverse my insulin resistance, get my fasting glucose back down to the 80's and my A1C down to below pre type 2, thru diet and lifestyle, how long does it last? IOW, it’s not permanently fixed because improper eating will bring it right back. But how soon?

Cold water oily fish are highest in omega 3. Salmon, sardines, mackerel, anchovies, herring are the best.
I was diagnosed with PCOS, pre diabetic and ulcerative colitis. I changed my diet about 10 months ago and everything is improving l, just need to wxercise more. My A1C went down from 6.1 to now 5.9. And my cholesterol went from 217 to now 140 and so on. All my numbers are getting balanced. Its amazing. If i just moved a little more id be in even better shape inside and out.
I’m on Metformin for insulin resistance,high testosterone and since I’m carrying excess weight I need to lose some weight to managed my symptoms. Just know that when you’re on it you HAVE to eat before you take the medicine it’ll reduce your stomach from getting upset and also you won’t be hungry for a couple hours. Doing exercising is key it’ll make a big difference and also drinking good amounts of water will contribute to what your body needs. It won’t work straight away as your body needs time to get the levels back on track so don’t get high hopes on it lets the process flow👍🏼

I am omad...i usually eat in the early evening. Lots of greens, a bit of protein with its natural fats ,always an avocado 🥑. 42 hours is the longest i can maintain right now,maybe once or twice a month. My goals are all over the board right now. I maintain 179lbs to 183lbs. I still have this " squishy" but on my belly. Probably 5lbs worth ,I'd like that gone.
Kait, Great video as always, my questions is how often can one fast? on a 24hrs fast how often? I don't see doing it more than once a week. On the 16hr fast, I'm sure that can happen every day but should it?
Intermittent Fasting is the way to fix most metabolic issues.

Not trying to justify, just meeting people where they are at and this is the reality. Reducing carbs is effective, but being smart about carbs works too.
I used to take both but inositol and Berberine but i stop taking Berberine
This is such a BS. I promise in a few months there will be another study saying intermittent fasting and fatty diet increases the risk of heart disease.
I was suddenly seeing a rash of skin tags under my arms and on my neck. I am now KETO, and the skin tags have suddenly DISAPPEARED! I also walk at least 30 minutes every day! Also read: "Lies My Doctor Told Me!"

What about it? It’s good as long as it doesn’t have added carbs/fillers/artificial sweeteners. Always better to eat your protein if you can vs drink.
What about bitter melon? It’s supposed to balance blood sugar. Those who don’t like the bitter taste can take them in capsules.

This year I am doing at least a 100+ hour fast every month. Then I also do random 1 to 4 day fasts whenever I feel like it but this month I have been doing alternate day eating (after my 100+ hour fast)
Can you do a 16 hour fast before going to gym?
I have type 2 diabetes. At about 4 am my blood sugar starts to rise, which I know is somewhat normal, but unless I eat something upon rising my blood sugar will continue to rise. This makes it pretty hard to do an intermittent fast. Any suggestions.?

I'm in shock. Like totally speechless. I just went thru a 48 plus hour fast, unexpectedly due to a stomach bug. I had no appetite, and could barely bring myself to sip on some water with LMNT in it throughout the last 2 plus days. When i woke up this morning, after sleeping a full 10 hours, which i never do, = My Legs Had NO Swelling in the calves/ ankles as always!! They didn't even look like my own legs!! Compression socks don't even come close to the results that a 48 hour fast done. Not to mention, i lost about 4 lbs in the last couple of days too! Oh, & today, i feel much better!! ❤
What is going on when you fast and end up with hypoglycemia? Blood sugars around 62. What do I need to do to fix this? I have never been diagnosed with a blood sugar issue like diabetes. I suspect insulin resistance because of your videos.
Are you have symptoms of low blood sugar? Or just getting low readings?
Are you in any medication?
Both; symptoms and low readings. It's usually shakiness and feeling really week. I test with my glucose monitor when I feel the shakiness. I refused to do to the gestational diabetes test in favor of daily glucose monitors for all my pregnancies. If you're wondering why I even have a monitor. Currently not pregnant. I'm not on any medication.
I have been fasting 12 to 16 hours for years but when I have blood work done, my glucose is and has been high. My A1C is good so my doctor is not concerned but doesn't explain.
To be sure, I’d get my fasting insulin tested to make sure it’s 5 or under.
What if you're diabetic and already underweight. Can IF still be done for any benefit?
